I started a new job today! Well, technically I'm still a stay at home mom, but I have an extra kiddo now. I'll be watching sweet Samantha (who is 3) during the day, then we go pick up her big sister from school and hang out at their house.
Today was great. The girls played really well together, and except for some sharing issues with Clara, we didn't have any problems. I guessed that it would take Clara some time to get used to someone playing with her toys all day, so that didn't bother me too much.
We walked Dingle this morning, Samantha walked Clara, we washed the car, played with sidewalk chalk and bubbles, and played with play doh for at least an hour. It was soooo nice. I could clean up after meals and I got lots of stuff done because they were so content just playing with each other. Clara doesn't last real long when she plays by herself or with me. I'm a fan.

My Day Job
--------
I made Clara a pillowcase dress for Thanksgiving and she wore it to church yesterday. It was supposed to have a turkey on it, but I ran out of time seeing as how I started on it Saturday afternoon. You proud of me Laura?

Hey! You are awesome! Great dress...very cute.(love the polka dots!) Isn't it amazing how easy they are for such cute dresses? I use to watch 2 kiddos when Mac was about 3. It was fun (most days) and I did enjoy Mac having playmates. I also liked bringing in a little bit of money too- we would save it for trips or family projects that we wanted to all do together. Clara looks like she is enjoying having someone to play with! Good luck and keep us posted on all your adventures-
Love the dress. Are you going to watch the kiddos through the school year or during the summer to? Clara looks like she is having tons of fun. Send her my way, so she can wash my car.
That is too funny! Rocky and I were talking about our move coming up in March or so to Houston and we were talking about childcare for Laney. I really don't want her in a daycare.
I told Rocky how I wanted to approach you about taking care of Laney during the day, seeing how wonderful of a mom you are and how well behaved and well mannered Clara is. I guess someone beat me to the punch!
Having 2 at this age is way easier! They do play together, freeing up a lot of time for you. But beware, they also fight, and that will wear your nerves down. The dress is way cute! http://kerrihomemaker.blogspot.com/ has a very cute idea for a turkey.
