Fun-Filled Day

Today, the girls and I headed to the zoo with our playgroup from church. The weather was so nice; it was overcast and breezy and the perfect temperature. It was a big day for me as this was the first time I've driven in Houston. I've driven as far as the beltway and on the beltway, but not "in" Houston. This west Texas girl doesn't do traffic well, but we survived.

We watched a sea lion show, saw the one month old giraffe, saw lots of animals napping on a lazy cloudy day and ate yummy cotton candy. And this freaky flamingo caught my eye. I've never seen one sit like this.

After Chris and Jessica got off work, we headed to AMF to go bowling for Jessica's birthday. Then we got back in our cars and went to Main Event because someone didn't think to check on lane availablity and AMF was booked with leagues. Oh well, I think Main Event was probably more fun. We bowled, ate pizza and cake, played in the arcade and basically got Jessica's kids all sugared up and then kept them out late on a school night.

Looks like it was a fun and probably exhausting day! I agree. That flamingo IS freaky! Aren't its knees bending the wrong way?!!!

Wow, what a day! Wish we could go to the Zoo. The kids always love it, but we have about 4" of snow today! We will have to wait for some sunshine and warmth-
Crazy weather...we had sunny weather just two days ago.
Anyhow, did you darken your hair? It looks dark in the picture. Clara is growing...she is very cute!

We've had mid 80's temps these last few days. It's been nice and breezy but I am NOT looking forward to the summer if this is what February feels like!

Laura--Nope, no new color; it just shows up dark and red in pictures sometimes. I'm too cheap to color my hair. And yes, I read The Shack. Did you like it?

Linda--I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that was a bit odd. I knew they could bend that direction, but not all the way!

I am not sure that I LIKED the book, but was not able to put it down. It was a hard to read at times...I guess overall it was an OK book. And U?
