Baby is about 5- 1/2 inches long now and I'm around 110 pounds. My appetite has increased significantly these last couple of weeks and I'm going to go out on a limb and say my morning sickness has finally eased off. I've had a few moments of naseau here and there, but I haven't taken my medicine in about a week.
I'm still very tired, but that's no surprise. With Clara, I never got that "boost" everyone talks about in the second trimester. Having energy while pregnant is a foreign concept to me.
Edited to add: I can't believe I forgot the best part of week 18. On the way down to the beach house on Friday, I was telling Danielle I hadn't felt the baby kick yet (for sure at least). I've felt gas-like stuff, but nothing I could say for sure was the baby. Not long after we arrived at the house, I was walking through the kitchen when I felt a kick. I lifted my shirt and I could faintly see and feel it from the outside, too. Same thing happened with Clara except I was 20 weeks. Chris could see and feel her first kicks right along with me.
Also, I think maybe the skin on my back has become more sensitive. I didn't get into the water too much at the beach, but I did get hit by a wave from behind not long before we left to go back to the house. I started itching and on the way back, I had redness and welts all over my back, but nowhere else. We thought it was sunburn at first and then maybe heat rash, but I think it was just a reaction to the salt water.
It happened the next day too. Chris flung some muddy sand on my back so that I'd have to go in the ocean to wash it off. I only washed off that side of my back and it too got the same itchy rash that went away once I showered. I didn't get a rash anywhere else even though I waded into the water and sat in it for awhile. Also, my back has been itchy after I shower for some time now.

Congratulation hun! I arrived on your blog randomly and I really liked it! Now it's on my favorites list. Dont worry about being lazy and tired, it's absolutely normal during pregnancy... Try to eat vitaminic food! I've just had my little boy, now my life is much happier and I like read online other mummy to be stories. What about the name? Did you already choose it? I remember I spent a lot of time on http://www.bounty.com/babynames/ searching by origing and popularity. I am looking forward to reading your next post and seeing your camping pics! J
Your kind of looking prego...you tiny lil' thing! My stomach is a lot bigger than yours. I am at 16 weeks, but this is my third baby and to start out with, I am bigger than you, so guess I'll have to get over it. I am still really nauseous, but my zofran helps. Energy level is pretty low, but getting better. It's so cool that we are 2 weeks apart in our pregnancies! Wish we lived closer to each other. Take it easy!
Glad to hear you are feeling a little bit better!
Where is the pic of Chris in his suit? More importantly where is the pic of me hanging out with you guys at the beach :(
